Aviation Explorers Post 62

Post62

Aviation Exploring is a youth development program centered on aviation careers. It is part of the Learning for Life’s career education program for young men and women who are 14 through 20 years old. (Fourteen-year-old youth may join provided they have completed the eighth grade.)

Aviation Exploring is academic-goaled, action-oriented, and action packed.
One of the primary focuses of this post includes the traditional Aviation Explorer where youth volunteers learn and experience the history of aviation. This includes the Tuskegee Airmen, mission planning, aircraft flight instruments, flying the planned mission on our flight simulator, taking a tour of a Civil Air Patrol aircraft and visiting an aviation college.

The second focus is learning how to fly both an indoor and outdoor drone as well
as the academics for interested youth volunteers to earn their
FAA Part 107 license. The post will also provide leadership opportunities for youth volunteers who will guide the planned activities for each month.

Adult volunteers are highly encouraged to attend and join our Post
62. Please provide your support with an email to
AviationExplorers@FBCWest.org. Your talent, knowledge and
experience is desired.
