West Charlotte Youth Aviation Group (WCYAG) is a youth development program centered on aviation careers. |
|
One of the primary focuses of WCYAG includes where youth volunteers learn and experience the history of aviation. This includes the Tuskegee Airmen, mission planning, aircraft flight instruments, flying the planned mission on our flight simulator, taking a tour of a Civil Air Patrol aircraft and visiting an aviation college.
The second focus is learning how to fly both an indoor and outdoor drone as well as the academics for interested youth volunteers to earn their FAA Part 107 license. The group will also provide leadership opportunities for youth volunteers who will guide the planned activities for each month.
