High-risk youth with a history of gang involvement will participate in an intensive, yearlong mentoring program to improve their  job readiness skills.

75% of students enrolled will be matched with an experienced mentor and complete studies related to a Career Action Plan.

87% of students enrolled were matched with an experienced mentor and completed studies related to a Career Action Plan.                                        

                                      

Youth enrolled in the GAP Career Coaching and Mentoring Program will show positive attitude changes over time related to gang, work, community, and crime perceptions.

Youth will score a 30% improvement in attitudes related to gang, work, community and crime issues.

 

 

                                                   

93% of youth agreed that one needs to have a job to be successful in life.  93% disagreed that it is okay to sell drugs to get money or to be in a gang.  80% disagreed that doing the right thing gets you nowhere in life.

 

 

                                      

Youth involved in the GAP Career Coaching and Mentoring Program will have a low incidence of criminal or juvenile justice recidivism.

70% of youth enrolled in the program will have a low incidence of criminal or juvenile justice recidivism.
